Features

Everything a link needs. Nothing around it.

Pastly stays a focused text tool: no attachments, comments, or notification feed.

Editor

143 languages in one field

CodeMirror 6 loads syntax on demand, from JavaScript, Python, Go, and Rust to Haskell, Vue, nginx, and assembly. Line numbers, search, folding, brackets, tab width, and detection are built in.

Markdown

Preview without executing HTML

GitHub Flavored Markdown supports tables, lists, quotes, and code blocks. Raw HTML is not processed and user scripts do not run.

Link

Raw, downloads, and line links

Open snippets have safe text/plain output. Downloads use the selected language extension, and line links point discussions to an exact place.

Control

Expiry, password, and one read

Remove content after ten minutes, one hour, one day, one week, or one month. Passwords and burn-after-reading are explicit before publishing.

Encryption

E2E in the browser

AES-256-GCM protects the title, language, format, and text. The server stores ciphertext while the key stays after #, outside HTTP requests.

Workflow

Transform without toolbar clutter

One menu formats or minifies JSON, sorts and deduplicates lines, changes tab width, and downloads a draft. “Use as new” continues from an opened example.

API

curl without a dedicated CLI

text/plain accepts settings in query parameters and X-Pastly-* headers. JSON exposes every mode, HEAD checks without reading, and /languages lists syntax modes.

Account

Cabinet and guest snippet claiming

Guests receive a separate management key. After signing in, claim an earlier snippet, then edit or delete it from the cabinet.
