Acceptable use

Malware, phishing, spam, personal data without a lawful basis, unlawful or copyright-infringing material, and attempts to bypass service limits are prohibited.

Retention

The author selects retention on creation. Expired, deleted, and consumed content stops being served immediately and is scrubbed by a background process. A technical tombstone may remain for up to 30 days to prevent address reuse and investigate abuse.

Guest management

Guests receive a separate management key shown once. Pastly cannot recover a lost key. Owning an account does not grant access to someone else’s guest snippet without the claim flow.

Reports and moderation

Every snippet page includes a report form. Moderators may hide, block, or delete a snippet. For E2E content, a moderator sees technical metadata and can disable the address but cannot read the payload.

No storage guarantee

Do not use the service as the only copy of important data. A snippet may become unavailable after expiry, after reading, because of moderation, or during maintenance.
